Kendall Buster
Kendall Buster creates beautiful airy structures that explore the spaces in which they are held. Some of Buster's works teeters on performance art because she involves her audience by creating interactive environments. These pieces provoke the viewer to move through the piece and to become involved with the materials and structure. Buster users her work to create lofty involved atmospheres.
Martin Puryear
Martin Puryear's work combines the artisanal craft of basket-weaving, structural elements, and found objects. Most of his work is made from building materials like wood, copper, steel, tar, and wire-mesh. Puryear has a very bare-boned minimalist feel that comes from finding beauty in simplistic structures. A lot of his pieces are quite large, so in their particular context create a very heavy presence.

To create a seat out 4x4 piece of cardboard that can withstand my own weight. The 4x4 piece cannot have pieces cut-out of it, but it can be cut into. The seat cannot be constructed using any aide from tape or glue.
